At two special ceremonies, stones were unveiled to name St Pol Square in the Hebden Gate and Warstein Square At the marina.
Four granite plaques with the town crests of Hebden Bridge, St Pol Sur Ternoise and Stadt Warstein etched into them were recessed in to two lettered stone blocksTo commemorate Hebden Bridges twin towns.
There were speeches from the dignitaries of the three towns and music from the local junior band.
The out going mayor of Hebden Royd, Nader Fekri said that from now on their will all ways be a part Hebden Bridge which will be for ever French and German.

Using comments made by war veterans from The Royal British Legion,
The Association of Wrens, Refugees, Leeds Peace Network and local
children, words and images were sandblasted into granite benches and
paving to create educational trail.
